Dr. Saurabh Anand is working as Associate Professor of Sociology at Gujarat National Law University Gandhinagar. He has been in the teaching profession for more than 20 years. He has taught at Panjab University, Chandigarh and other affiliated colleges in Chandigarh and Ludhiana respectively. He has been associated with GNLU since 2007 and taught subjects like Introduction to Sociology and also being the founding faculty for paper like Criminology and Penology. He has also been credited to start Bachelor of Social Work integrated degree with LLB Program at GNLU in the year 2011. He taught papers like Research Methodology, Sociological Thinkers etc for the post graduate students. He has been awarded his Doctorate of Philosophy in the interdisciplinary areas of Sociology and Law focusing on the Socio-legal understanding of Disability. He has got number of publications in international and national reputed journals along with the chapters in edited books. He has completed research projects funded by the ICSSR on Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Department of Law and Justice, Government of India, National Commission for Women, Government of Gujarat. He is also holding the position of HoD Social Sciences and Alumni Relations respectively. He is also the board of studies member for the various institutes namely, Parul University, Fergusson College Pune etc. He is also nominated as external examiner for various institutes like BHU, PDEU, NFSU, RRU etc.
