Akshhita is a gold medalist law graduate from the University of Delhi with an academic foundation in B.Sc. (Hons) Mathematics. This interdisciplinary background shapes her approach to legal reasoning, combining analytical precision with structured and methodical thinking.

She currently serves as Assistant Director at the Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA), one of India’s leading institutional arbitration centres. Her work focuses on advancing institutional arbitration and mediation as credible and efficient dispute resolution mechanisms. In this role, she drafts institutional responses to proposed legislative amendments, undertakes policy-oriented research, and authors analytical papers on emerging developments in arbitration and mediation. She also oversees ICA’s editorial and social media functions, ensuring clear institutional communication and outreach.

In addition, Akshhita contributes to the planning and execution of conferences, stakeholder consultations, and thought-leadership initiatives that bring together practitioners, academics, and policymakers in the ADR ecosystem. Prior to joining ICA, she worked in regulatory compliance and legal research for organisations with cross-jurisdictional operations, gaining exposure to comparative legal systems and complex regulatory frameworks. She continues to be engaged in strengthening the institutional arbitration landscape in India and supporting broader conversations on procedural efficiency, access to justice, and legal reform.
